The wall consists of two distinct rows of stones, one superimposed upon the other, separated by a 0.10–0.30 m thick layer of mud mortar and/or mudbrick collapse. The upper row is composed of medium-sized angular stones with relatively smooth faces, together with smaller undressed stones, all set in mud mortar. The wall is oriented east–west. Along its southern side, it is abutted by a deposit of mudbrick collapse. The lower row consists of six medium-sized undressed stones. The separation between the two rows indicates that they belong to different constructional phases of the same wall [Input: ZK630pC.j] |
